Upcoming Nepali Film MOKSHYA 2014

There are quite a number of releases for the upcoming year and MOKSHYA happens to be one of them. The upcoming Nepali film by Prabeen Shrestha revolves around music and follows few lead characters and their journey to come to terms with a defining moment in their lives. The movie which is based on a true story will be in cinemas on 7th February 2014. The makers have recently shared a song and a teaser of MOKSHYA. Looks interesting – would’ve preferred to have the theatrical trailer before a teaser yeah… I’m sure that’s coming our way soon.

Samyam Puri to be Punte in "Punte Parade" Nepali Movie 2014

The producer of ‘I am Sorry’, Hari Lamsal, has announced a new movie titled ‘Punte Parade’. The movie to be made on a social drama story will feature actor Samyam Puri in the leading role. Samyam is going to be featured as an 18-years-old guy who has his own vision of the society and the environment.

Other actors in the movie include Nattu Shah, Rabindra Khadka, Anjila Dahal, Gita Adhikari, Sweta Thapa. Nattu has gained popularity by posting videos in YouTube. The movie being directed by Subash Koirala and written by Shan Basnet will also feature actress Priyanka Karki in a special appearance.

‘Punte Parade’ is produced jointly by Chatra Shrestha, Jayaram Pariyar and Rajkumar Patel. The start of the shooting of the movie is expected to start soon. The movie features the music of Tek Nanda Lama, cinematography of Babu Shrestha.

‘Jholay’ Nepali Movie to release on 21st February 2013, trailer and poster unveiled

In a program held in Kathmandu on December 10, 2013 the trailer, poster and music of upcoming movie ‘Jholay’ was released. The movie is scheduled to release on Falgun 9 (February 21, 2014). The movie directed by Dipendra K Khanal features well known actors like Dayahang Rai, Priyanka Karki and Arjun Gurung in main roles.

During the ceremony the director Khanal told that the movie will come as a relief to the bad days of Nepali movie industry. He referred to a charity show in which, the movie was liked a lot by the audience.  ‘Jholay’ is produced by Tekendra Khadka.

Raghav Movie releases Official Trailer 2014

A Raj Ballav Koirala Film, Raghav Nepali Movie has released its official trailer on its youtube channel today. The trailer comes after a month of poster and motion poster releases from the team. Watch the official trailer of the movie below.

Raghav Movie stars Shibir Pokharel, Asmita Dhakal, Cait Brasel, Ashishma Nakarmi and Rocken Byanjankar among others.

Directed and written by US based Bhupendra Bhattarai, the movie was shot across several locations in the US and Nepal. Chhaproma Production was involved in the Nepal’s part of the movie.

Bhupendra Bhattarai along with Srizan Gangol has Cinematographed the movie. And Sanjeev Singh, Manav Subedi, The Maaya Band, and Suman Udaya have added their music to the movie.

Raghav Movie has been executively produced by popular actor Raj Ballav Koirala and is the first venture of Raj Ballav Koirala Film. You can watch the previously released motion poster of the movie below.

Keki Adhikari’s Nepali Movie 'Biteka Pal' to release on Jaunary 10, 2014

Although Keki Adhikari is well established as a music video model, there aren’t many movies she had acted. After debuting in ‘Swor’ Keki did movies like ‘I am Sorry’, ‘Masan’ and ‘Mahasush’. Keki is appreciated for her acting skills in the movies.

Keki’s next movie ‘Biteka Pal’ is scheduled to release on Poush 26 (January 10, 2013). The movie made on triangular love story features actors Abinash Gurung and Babu Bogati opposite to Keki. The direcctor Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ claims that the upcoming movie is one of the best movies of Keki. He also appreciated Keki’s acting skills.

‘Biteka Pal’ is produced jointly by Rajesh Ghatani and Krish Rijal. Most of the shooting of the movie was done in Darjeeling.

Namrata Shrestha to be featured in an item dance of 'Adhakatti' Nepali Movie 2014

In an upcoming movie ‘Adhakatti’ actress Namrata Shrestha is going to be featured in an item dance. The debut movie of film journalist Subrat Acharya as a director, the movie will feature the item song titled ‘Namrata …’ on the voice of Nisha Deshar, Yubraj Chaulagain and Rajan Ishan. The music of the song is composed by Rajan Ishan.

Although there has been a lot of talk about the movie being produced by Pradeep Kumar Uday,  the shooting is yet start. The film maker team and the director has assured that the shooting is starting this week. The delay in shooting is attributed to the festival season and the recently concluded CA election. ‘Adhakatti’ features Wilson Bikram Rai, Gaurav Pahadi, Pradeep Bastola and Rista Basnet in leading roles.

In the movies these days, item dance and item songs have become an integral parts of entertainment. They are used to attract viewers to theaters. After the success of ‘Udhreko Choli…’ in "Loot‘ film makers have started to choose songs with dual-meaning words in the item songs.

Raju Giri’s new movie ‘Tiger- The Real Hero’ announced

One of the most controversial directors of Nepali film industry, Raju Giri is directing a new move titled ‘Tiger- The Real Hero’. The movie being produced by the ‘Miss Nepal’ producer Subhkshya Thapa with Mohan Krishna Shrestha features Ashok Phuyal, Divyeshowr Gautam, Suraj Ranabhat, Amit Pal, Subhkshya Thapa, Sushmita Shahi , Samichhya Aryal, Sushil Pokharel etc. in main role.

In an event held in a Chinese restaurant in Civil Trade Center, Kathmandu, the new movie was inaugurated and the music album of upcoming movie ‘Miss Nepal’ was also released . A video report of the program is attached:

‘Tiger- The Real Hero’ is made on the story of Sushil Pokharel. The movie features action of Roshan Shrestha, choreography of Ramji Lamichane and music of Arjun Pokharel.

Chha Ekan Chha- New Nepali Movie to release on 10th January, 2014

The ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ film unit organized a press meet at Union House, Anamnagar, Kathmandu to announce the release date of the movie. The movie is scheduled to release on Poush 26 (January 10, 2013).

Talking about he movie, the producer and the writer of the movie, Deepak Raj Giri told that the movie is a totally entertainment movie. He promised, “The movie will bind the viewers in seat for 2:15 hours.

The co-producer and assistant director Deepa Shree Niraula stated that the movie is the result of the investment of “all the name and credit” they have gained so far in the entertainment industry. Actor and co-producer Nirmal Sharma told that the movie is the result of the experience he has gained by producing half-a-dozen flop films. Although he doesn’t expect the movie to be super-hit, he expect it to do a satisfactory business.

There are six leading actors and one lead actress – Neeta Dhungana, in ‘Chha Ekan Chha’. Actor Shiva Hari Poudel (Mukhama Hannu Jasto)expressed his satisfaction to do a leading actor role at the age of 47. Another actor Sandip Chhetri also expressed his satisfaction on his role as a leading actor. Other leading actors include Jitu Nepal (Mundre), Kedar Ghimire (Magne Budho), Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) and Deepak Raj Giri. Neeta claimed that the movie has become the best movie she has done so far.

The movie directed by Dinesh DC features the script of Jagadishowr Thapa and music of Sambhujit Baskota. The title song of the movie is recorded on the voice of Hari Bansha Acharya, Kiran KC and the director Dinesh DC.

Nepali Movie Loafer has released its official promotional Trailer today. The movie directed by Aditya Bikram Lamsal is produced by popular Chhabi Raj Ojha along with Dijendra Shakya. Loafer is a comedy Action thriller scheduled to release on 6th December 2013 (21st Mangsir). Watch the trailer of the movie released today below.

Although Aryan Sigdel is one of the main highlights of the movie, his role hasn’t been made clear from the trailer. Along with Aryan Sigel, Dayahang Rai , Kamal Mani Nepal, Sushil Raj Pandey, Anupam Sharma, Sagar Lamsal Kshetri and Razni K.C will be seen in the lead roles of the movie.

Director Aditya Bikram Lamsal himself has written the story for the movie.
